Jane Canapini

RE:Luctantpreneur

I came across this great podcast called Second Act Stories  that shares the stories of people who have made major career changes to pursue more rewarding lives in a their second act.

The first one I listened to was a story about Jane Canapini, who at the age of 51 was laid off from her creative director position at large advertising agency.

Rather than pursuing another job in advertising, (been there / done that ) she asked herself, "What are you going to do next?"

She knew that her true passion was travel so she launched a travel blog called Grownup Travels - a place where the information she shares is personally sourced by her own travel experiences.

Here’s Jane’s story from Second Act Stories with Andy Levine along with some fantastic advice she gives others who are considering a life shift or who are looking at a second act in their life.

Special thanks to Andrew for letting me share this podcast and Jane for letting me share her story!

I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.  What's your inner-voice saying to you? Are you ready for a shift during your second adult-hood? Have you ever asked yourself,  just maybe, it’s time to make a change and reinvent yourself?

"So, I thought, "Well, I'm gonna start writing about the kind of travel that we do and the new generation of 50 plus that don't just wear adult diapers and, you know, need a step into tub, you know." And there was such a response from all of my peers that said, "Yes, yes."
