Soroptimist Whitefish – An Online Communications Campaign

Soroptimist Whitefish

Project Overview – Soroptimist Whitefish

Soroptimist Whitefish is a non-profit organization that helps empower women and children in our community.

They wanted to increase awareness about their organization and share all the inspiring stories they are involved with. They needed help translating all they did in the community to their online audience.

After receiving their Online Marketing Planner, we decided the best approach was to create an Online Communications Campaign that included:

Online Services:

Website redesign • E-newsletter •  Social media updates.

The website redesign project went together fairly quickly. Soroptimist International  provided branding resources for each chapter’s use for logos, colors and copy.

The fun part was discovering the unique stories about Whitefish Soroptimist.

  • Did you know that Soroptimist Whitefish recently gave over $22,000 in scholarships in their Live Your Dreams Awards?
  • Did you know that all the money raised for Soroptimist Whitefish is raised by the all volunteer member served Thrift Haus?
  • Did you know that Smile of Hope provides grants of up to $2,000 to qualifying low-income working women from the Whitefish and Columbia Falls areas who are heads of their households and have no access to dental care.
  • Did you know that improving the lives of women and girls through programs like the Whitefish Soroptimist supports can lead to social and economic empowerment!

Whitefish Soroptimist also contributes financially to other non-profit organizations such as:

What now?

After designing the new website using my favorite tools WordPress + Beaver Builder, I worked closely with the president of the organization, Lynn Grossman, to create a Whitefish Soroptimist newsletter template with MailChimp that is sent to members every quarter.

We also outlined a simple social media strategy that included sharing international organization posts, highlighting community events and showcasing club activity on both their Thrift Haus Facebook Page and the private member Facebook Group.

Soroptimist Whitefish now has an Online Communications Campaign where content can be updated on the website, shared on social media and delivered to member’s email!

{Why I do What I do}

In working closely with this organization, I realized this is one of the reasons Why I do What I do!

Everyone has a story that is worth capturing, publishing and sharing.

I love sharing these inspiring stories through the power of the internet while also supporting the women and young girls in our community.

{So much so, that I decided to become a Soroptimist Member!}
